Cover page of Get Online Week 2021 ReportFrom 18 – 24 October 2021, over a thousand digital skills events were held online and in person across the nation for Get Online Week 2021.

Each year, our Get Online Week campaign raises awareness of the digital divide, the benefits of getting online and digital skills support available in local communities. With 1 in 4 Australians digitally-excluded (ADII, 2021) and internet skills now vital for many everyday activities, it’s never been more important to get online.

This year, over 15,000 people were reached with digital skills support at a Get Online Week event held by community organisations in our network. Attendees were inspired and empowered to get online with events relevant to their needs.

Community organisations made their Get Online Week events informative and engaging, running events on virtual armchair travel, how to access e-resources, QR code and digital vaccination record tutorials, online safety presentations, intergenerational learning, have-a-go sessions, and much more.
