Our Finance Business Partner will be responsible for supporting organisational growth by providing timely strategic and operational financial analysis and advice to the Leadership Team. You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day financial functions of the organisation.

You will initially be responsible for transitioning the organisation’s finance function from the UK to Australia, collaborating with the Australian Leadership Team and the UK Finance Team. This includes recruiting a Finance Officer, development and maintenance of relevant policies and processes, training and supporting the Good Things team to ensure efficient operations and integrity in internal and external reporting and ensuring all processes facilitate meeting external governance and reporting requirements in a timely manner.

You will work as part of a small team in the Australian office of Good Things Foundation, reporting to the Head of Growth and Operations.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Professional Accounting Qualifications along with minimum 5+ years post qualification experience
  • Extensive experience of carrying out a wide range of end to end management accounting functions for SMEs – from posting transactions, processing payroll,  implementing relevant controls and drafting management accounts, completing all returns (eg GST and PAYG etc) to all reporting and cash flow management
  • Experience developing SME Finance function
  • Experience in working with geographically dispersed teams and managing and driving transformational finance projects remotely
  • Experience leading a team and effective staff engagement
  • Experience of reporting to Boards and preparing briefing papers as required
  • Ability to work to and achieve tight deadlines
