Good Things Foundation Australia 2021/22 Annual Report

This year highlighted the incredible scale and impact of our Network and why it's important to close the digital divide for all, for good.

By Good Things Foundation Australia · 30/11/2022

This year we reached the impressive milestones of 1 million people provided with essential digital skills support and $20m in small grants distributed to our network of community partners over the life of our programs.

We were able to have this incredible impact due to our partnerships with government, corporates and the community sector, reaching those most in need of support.

In 2021/22, one of our key priorities was on connecting decision makers to the issues of digital exclusion and what can be done about it.

Our Digital Nation Australia 2021 report and iconic infographic highlighted the latest research to build understanding of the digital inclusion landscape in Australia.

Our inaugural Digital Nation Conference brought together more than 180 people from across our Network, sector stakeholders, government, corporates and advocates working in digital inclusion to discuss Australia’s digital divide, how it affects those most at risk of digital exclusion, and what is being done on the ground to make sure no one is left behind.

Our first Blueprint to Close Australia’s Digital Divide was launched and outlines three key recommendations to create a fully digitally-included country.

Our major digital inclusion programs

In FY 21/22 we ran four major digital inclusion programs in addition to our work advocating for initiatives that close the digital divide:

We are continually striving to increase and diversify our digital inclusion programs and advocacy efforts to support more people in need. We partner with organisations in thousands of communities across Australia to deliver locally-driven programs with national impact. We create and manage digital inclusion programs for people who are most at risk of being digitally excluded.
